Missouri Tigers Basketball Players Impress NBA Scouts at Pro Day
During a Pro Day event at Mizzou Arena, the Missouri Tigers basketball team showcased their talents to a dozen NBA scouts. The event marked the first public Pro Day under coach Dennis Gates, who emphasized the importance of this opportunity for his players' professional careers. Throughout the day, the team engaged in regular practice drills, including shooting and gameplay scenarios, all while under the watchful eyes of scouts from various NBA teams such as the Brooklyn Nets and New York Knicks.
Key players, including senior Mark Mitchell and junior Anthony Robinson II, took on leadership roles during the scrimmage. Despite a minor leg injury, Robinson demonstrated strong communication and playmaking abilities. Coach Gates highlighted the growth of these players, alongside others like sophomore T.O. Barrett, who received praise for his skills and leadership. The Tigers are gearing up for their first game of the 2025-26 season against Kansas State on October 24.
